Looking to smash your affiliate and digital marketing goals for 2024. I’ve been doing some research and here’s what the experts are saying you need to be doing to set your brand up for an amazing Q3 & Q4 2024.
1. Utilise the AI tools available to you (everyone else is doing it)
For me personally, I like to use tools like Chat GPT to get over “blank page syndrome”. In many cases the biggest hurdle to getting a task done is getting it started and it’s easier to edit, than to start from the beginning. There are also useful AI tools built into tools every marketer is using like Google analytics and Canva, which help you get to what you need more efficiently!
2. Diversify your content!
There are so many platforms and sites for potential customers to see your brand and it is unanimously agreed that a one size fits all approach does not garner the best results. Taking the time to think about where the content is going and who the audience will be is a surefire way to making a bigger impact. From an affiliate marketing point of view, I always try to think about the partner sites we are working with and highlight parts of the brand which I believe will resonate with the partners users the best.
3. Unify Team Efforts
At Built for growth, we always find that the clients who use us for several services perform the best because of the constant communication we have within the team. Viewing your digital services as one ecosystem, rather than individual contracts means that each team understands what the overall “north star” is as well what their team needs to do to get the brand there. Not unifying your team can be costly especially with Affiliate Marketing as it can cover several other digital functions and you want the messaging to be cohesive but not to overlap and cost you more.
4. Work with Influencers / Content Creators
Social media is still king when it comes to brand awareness and influencers / content creators are a huge element of this. Seeing a product being used by a trusted voice is essential for some people before they buy. Authenticity is key here!
5. Understand your Niche
Affiliate marketing has always been about finding customers whose interests align with your brand. Affiliate Networks have made finding sites within your niche easier with publisher discovery tools but there is still a manual touch which is needed to look for partnerships which may exist outside the networks.
6. Make Use of the Tools and Features of Affiliate Networks
Building on point 5, the main affiliate networks have invested in their user experience by adding in machine learning and AI capabilities to improve several key elements of affiliate program management. Namely, reporting and publisher discovery. Making sure you use these features will improve your interpretation of data and help you make better strategic decisions.
7. Maximise exposure on social media
Reels and TikTok’s are providing massive opportunities for your brand to be discovered. These do take some effort, but the payoff can be huge!
8. Highlight Sustainability and Ethical Practices
Social responsibility is more than just a trend or marketing ploy. It is vitally important for brand longevity and can build a community and loyalty amongst shoppers who want to be conscious with their buying habits.
While this year’s economic situation has come with some highs and lows, things are looking more stable for H2 so hopefully by implementing these strategies your brand can flourish.
